Secretts Pumpkin Week 2024
Embark on a spooky adventure with our Halloween scavenger hunt trail before reaching our pumpkin patch! Kids will love the fun and games along the way, plus there are plenty of Instagram-worthy moments to capture along the way.
π Once you arrive at our pumpkin field, you'll be amazed by the variety of homegrown pumpkins in all shapes and sizes. From the classic Harvest Moon to ghost, goosebump and Big Moose pumpkins – you can pick the perfect one from our selection (prices vary based on size and are payable in the field).
π Refuel after your pumpkin picking with our delicious BBQ and pumpkin-themed menu. Enjoy juicy sausages, hearty pumpkin soup, flavourful pumpkin curry, our famous pumpkin cake and a selection of homemade treats. We also offer a range of hot and cold drinks.
π The fun continues with a range of exciting children's activities. Let your little ones unleash their creativity with biscuit decorating and glitter face painting, or indulge their adventurous spirit with mini pedal tractor rides and a ride on the old fashioned carousel. There’s also a make-your-own waffle station for a delicious treat. Please note that a fee applies to these activities.
πOur fancy-dress competition is a wonderful way to make the day even more special for children, offering a great opportunity to snap some unforgettable family photos, with our glorious pumpkin fields in the background. There are countless photo opportunities throughout our working farm – from the colourful pumpkin backdrop to the spooky walkway and paddock activity area.
Some top tips for Pumpkin Week are:
1. Bring a Carrier π
Bring a sturdy carrier like a buggy, rucksack, or strong bag for life to transport your pumpkins.
2. Bring wellies & raincoats! π₯Ύ
Pack for a fun-filled adventure and don’t forget to bring wellies and a raincoat if the weather looks uncertain or if it has been raining on the previous days. The fields can get very muddy!
3. Little legs get ready πΆπΌβ‘οΈ
The walk to and from the pumpkin field is about a 15-20 minutes round-trip, but the spooky trail and scavenger hunt can extend this time. Buggies, scooters, or bikes are recommended for younger children. Most of the trail is paved, with some soft areas that may become muddy. We also have wheelbarrows available that fit the kids in perfectly.
4. If you see a wheelbarrow grab it! π
We've increased our wheelbarrow supply this year, but they can go fast. Grab one from the car park or entrance if you see one available.
5. Dress to Impress π
Add a splash of fun to your visit with a fancy dress costume! Enter our competition for a chance to win a fantastic hamper. We give prizes out daily and entries are made via our social media feeds. See our website for more information.
6. Timing is everything β°
To keep queues short, please arrive within your booked hour. If you arrive outside your time slot, entry may not be guaranteed. Once you're in, enjoy your visit without time restrictions.
